White Trillium (Trillium grandiflorum)

Trillium grandiflorum is a common early blooming flower in moist forest across much of the eastern U.S. It is similar to it's western relative, Trillium ovatum, but is much larger in most respects. Photo from the Allegheny Mountains of western Pennsylvania. May 2001
