Whitney Portal - The trail head of Whitney Trail at 5:10 AM. If anyone wonders who would ever built such an ugly structure at such an important trailhead, please remember that these are public money used by bureaucrats. Things don't have to make sense. I wondered in awe every time I saw this structure. 7/14/2016
