Wild Oregano

This perennial herb blooms from June to August and it is also often called Pot Marjoram (Origanum vulgare). In Polish mountains, it can be found on dry slopes up to the elevations of 1500 meters. It is a good spice in tomato sauces, fried vegetables and grilled meat. Photo taken in the Low Beskid - Woltuszowa - July 2007.
