Wonderful capture, great sky that sets apart photo from good...to make it great! Hope you got down before the snow, rain, hail, or whatever...Good job.
Yap, the weather got nuts that day, but luckily without lighting.
This picture really deserve for Photo of a Day.
Great landscape and capture
I'll have to make a visit. I hear its a cool place.
Cool and remote. Definitely worth of visiting.
Did you use a graduated density filter? Anyway, nice image; thanks for sharing! --mark d.
hi Mark, thanks for your comment. I did not use a graduated density filter. The light was just balanced this way. However I took two photos and stitched them together - making this vertical panorama. Jakub
What else is there to say? Very nice pic!
Frickin' gates of Mordor! nice shot!
Thanks for such poetic comment.
What a perfect setting, and you captured it.
Great photo! Beautiful!
Congratulation and thanks for it!
Nice capture of a perfect moment!
What is the more gentle summit on the right? A very well done image, indeed?
Reading off a map - the summit on the right is Mitchell peak right on a Continental divide. The lake's name Miller lake.
Thanks for your reply. I thought the mountain might be Mitchell. I climbed it in 1994, but from a different perspective(Big Sandy). I am so happy to have this fine, fine image to go with my memories of that hike.
I was away. The Cirques of the Towers is a very nice area. Do you have any photos taken from the top of Mitchell? c
Look forward to more.
