Windy Devil Tarn

Windy Devil Tarn

Sunset reflection of Serrate Ridge, Castle Peak, and Mount Frank (Peak 10857’) as seen from the tarn near Windy Devil Pass. Not sure if I’ve ever seen such an amazing sight. August 14, 2010

WOW

What an amazing photo. Wish I could vote on it twice. Looking at it full size makes it even more incredible. Must have been great standing there.

Re: WOW

Thanks very much. We were lucky to see it. If we had kept to our planned schedule for that day, we'd have passed through here earlier in the afternoon and missed the light show.

Incredible

That right there is why I go out in the wilderness. Just for the chance to see something that awesome. Thanks for sharing

Frame it!

Holy cow! That's something I'd have printed off and framed, no matter if it cost me $500! Having something like this around the home or office always keeps my spirits lifted, even on a Monday! :) Thanks for sharing Dave!

Re: Frame it!

Thanks. Believe it or not, I actually did have this framed, just last week. Cropped it down into a nice little 4"x12" pano. This tarn might be my favorite place on the planet.
