Winter Wonderland
These are some photos from this winter, taken at various places throughout the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. It's been a while, but I thought I'd better get some up to show what a great season it's been!
There are some highlights immediately below, but plenty more attached to the album. Feel free to browse and enjoy...
Hungarian Falls: January 8
A beautiful and easily accessible snowshoe makes this one of my go-to short trips. Waterfalls and powder galore!
Freda Cliffs: January 29
These cliffs are right along Lake Superior, and their position makes them very difficult to view without a kayak in the summer. Alas, winter brings ice, and great viewing of these sandstone marvels.
Mount Houghton: February 19
After finally making it here for the first time last fall, it was a necessary duty to get back in winter. This place has truly special view in many directions and is well worth the visit!
Hogback Mountain: February 22
A late-February visit to this great place proved to be a great idea
