25.07.2018 - 8:00 p.m. I lose elevation following yellow striped trail in the upper part of Dolina Małej Łaki. All of a sudden, I hear the rustle of an animal at the foot of a huge limestone cliff named Siodłowa Turnia. I make use of my camcorder (30x optical zoom) and recognize young brown bear with telemetric collar when searching for prey. I stare at its capability to bushwhack through the patches of dwarf pine and turn the rocks upside down. In a couple of minutes it disappear in crooked bushes. A zig zag to Głazisty Żleb. I find myself at a distance of less than 100 meters from the beast. I get terrified and take the last memorable shots of another great encounter with a bear in the Tatras.
