(Keeping it Mellow) at South Willow

"Lucky I'm sane, after all I've been through; Everybody says I'm cool - (She's cool)! I can't complain, but sometimes I still do .. Life's been good to me so FAR ..." My wife finds another 'Kodak Moment' along the South Willow Lake trail, as we cross the upper reaches of Mining Fork Of South Willow Canyon (8,600'). The trail reaches a junction at 8,680', where you can turn west to follow the trail up a drainage to South Willow Lake. The lake occupies a secluded spot at the base of a wide cirque (Pleistocene glaciation) between the steep quartzite faces of South Willow (10,685') and North Willow (10,521') peaks in Utah's Stansbury Mountains. South Willow Peak

My son and I made a wrong turn on that trail and ended up on top of that peak.

Re: South Willow Peak

Pictures? Somebody needs to do a report on
that peak. People keep mistaking it for
Deseret Peak, but it's not.

I stole a picture of yours, and a couple from ericwillhite. Hope you don't mind.
