The summit of 12338 is on the left. From a distance I was worried that the top of the pillar would turn out to be the highpoint. I was relieved to discover that it wasn't even close because there was no way I was going to get up there. It turned out that the pillar is really a double pillar. I love the way you're pointing out the
individual features on Red Castle, a truly
unique and fascinating peak.

And.. you seem to have an "obsession" with
pillars. Have you ever been to the Acropolis
in Greece, or visited the "Pillars of Rome" in Rome, Oregon.

If not, no big deal. RED CASTLE ROCKS !!

No, I've never been to Greece or Rome, Oregon.

I can't think of any other peak I've climbed that had pillars like these peaks do. This one was a surprise. The other one at the south saddle of 12566 I knew was there.

Great discovery on your part..

My wife says, "(Your) photo of '12338' looks
like long-necked turtle, with its head
definitely sticking out of its shell.
