LOL Roberto! This is very interesting. You have been able to hang on to this piece of paper for this long! It's pretty amazing! I wish I knew more about the exchange rate. I bet everything is at least ten times more expensive now.
Ciao,
Marc

Re: LOL Roberto!maybe Marc,
today was ten times more expensive!
It would mean that we still have a glacier on which to ski in Summer.
Instead all we have left ..... is a piece of paper )O: SIGH!
For the change give me a little 'time that I have to bring it back to present value.
Ciao Marc.

Ok Marc.1000 lire in 1963 (about € 0.52 - about $ 0.7)
today should be multiplied eighteen times.
So, what that cost a thousand lire in 1963, today it would cost eighteen thousand lire.
In euro 9,30 € - in dollars 12,69 $.
The daily skiing in Bardonecchia today costs 34 euro, so you can see that the depreciation is still higher than the calculation.
Good Sunday my friend.
Roberto.

Re: Ok Marc.Thank you very much for the research and detailed answer Roberto.
It seems that the cost of skiing is still a lot more reasonable in Italy than it is in the US. We haven't gone skiing this year yet, but I'm sure lift tickets in Mammoth are at least 90$/daily.
Have a great weekend my friend.
Marc

Re: Ok Marc. Not fair! I'm jealous!
It's about 75 F here in California and no sign of any rain or snow anywhere close to where I live.
Life can be tough!
Ciao,
Marc
