1st Gully

Rob taking a good look at the entrance to the 1st gully. After ascending far enough up the initial boulderfield the 1st gully became easily visible.

The key to success for reaching Len Shoemaker Basin is to find the breaks in the cliff bands that will lead you higher into the basin.

I apologize for the poor photo quality, but this picture was submitted for informational purposes, not inspirational purposes. The weather on the day of this climb into Len Shoemaker Basin was horrible. The rain never let up so it was impossible to keep my camera lens dry, resulting in less than high quality photos.
