In sports shoes, no rope.It looks like this guy is climbing something pretty steep on a big rock face, high above the ground. In sports shoes and no rope. I guess it's not as adventurous as it looks. Some facts about this shot would be interesting.

Your notice is very wonderful , Thank you very much . But he is a professional rock climber . I can send you very photos of him in Alam-Kooh wall in Iran , if you want . In this mount the route of rock climbing was not very hard for him . This shoes is his habit in normal routes .

nice point!!!well it`s a very nice and sharp point that corax has mentioned .well there is a big but in this situation, you see the rope and climbing special shoes are exactly the missing equipments in this picture BUT in iran there are a lot of climbers (really good ones)that dont use them unless they have to. about the shoe however this kind of sport shoe is so very popular among rock climbers corax.
