21 East from Little Annapurna

[ Sizes: Orig | Large | Med | Small | Thumb ]
21 East from Little Annapurna

The east end of the Stuart Range wraps around to the north, confining the Enchantments and Snow Creek. A little bit of Lower Snow Lake is visible down there, 3000 feet below. Seven trail miles N of the lake and 4000 feet below it is where I started this little jaunt.

On the far horizon, beyond the mountains, lies the Columbia Basin. Built of huge, repeated floods of uniquely runny lava, the Basin stretches almost perfectly flat to just short of Spokane.
