A Brocken Spectre from Karasawa-dake

My second encounter with a rather unique visual effect, a brocken spectre. This time, from the summit of Karasawa-dake in Japanese Northern Alps. This effect persisted for good 15-20 minutes while we were on the summit en route to Hotakadake sanso (hut).

Where did your "first encounter" occur with a
Brocken Spectre?

If you ever see this again, it may very well be termed a "Close Encounter of the Third Kind."
