A few groups waiting below the crux on Cotopaxi

A vertical snow/ice face blocked the route not far below the summit, but there was a steep ramp on which to pass it. I would estimate it to be about 50 degrees. I'm at the bottom of the ramp, looking at a few groups waiting for their turn to go up. 22 December 2010.
