Presumo che la foto sia stata scattata da sotto lo sperone roccioso di destra, nel lontano 1969 il seracco era moooolto più grosso e frastagliato, eravamo appena usciti dal sottostante canalone Gervasutti quando una consistente caduta di seracchi si staccò mancandoci per poco, purtroppo ando' meno bene ad una cordata di tre canadesi che vennero travolti di striscio dalle schegge "sparate" violentemente dai grossi blocchi di ghiaccio in fase di caduta riportando ferite abbastanza serie. A fine giornata durante il ritorno constatammo dalla base dello stesso lo sfacelo provocato in quasi tutta la lunghezza del canalone.

Il tuo racconto mi ha fatto ricordare un grave incidente avvenuto il 6 agosto 1986 e di cui forse all'epoca avrai sentito parlare: un crollo di rocce e ghiaccio dai pressi dl Col di Peuterey lungo i pendii della Blanche. Io e il mio compagno fummo risparmiati davvero per un pelo, mentre i padovani sotto di noi purtroppo furono colpiti in pieno. Ti ringrazio e ti faccio i miei auguri di Buona Pasqua anche se ormai in ritardo. alberto
