Rim-To-Rim in 99 Hours?

Wow, you guys are speed demons! Congratulations.
Nice dinner duds too, excellent sartorial choice.

Pretty good for three retired guys ...

Actually, the buffalo were "cattalo," a cross between a buffalo
and what was originally a Hereford bull.

The remnants of "Buffalo Jones" heard of the 1900's are still in House Rock Valley and occasionally wander up on top of the Kaibab Plateau to the Grand Canyon.

Re: Pretty good for three retired guys ...

Thanks Larry! Cattalo eh, good to know. Our shuttle driver told us a lot of the history of the area but I must have missed that.

Every thing's cool, but just remember ...

Seven days without beef makes one weak.

Ditto on Great Trip Report

Did a N-S Rim day hike with some friends a couple years ago and basically had about 0% fun. I hated it, didn't get to see anything and felt worse than when I came off Denali - I could hardly walk to the car in the parking lot. I felt like just laying down on the asphalt ... Your narrative and photos are excellent and I am going to use your trip report and pretty much copy it into an itinerary for a trip in the next year or two for me and my husband. I remember getting about a 5 minute rest stop at the Phantom Ranch and watching people drinking beer - it almost made me cry - HAHA!Thanks for posting!

Inspiration

I really enjoyed reading this report.
In 2004 I visited the Grand Canyon and did a day hike to Plateau point. I always said I would go back but never did. This has re-ignited my desire to do something similar one day.
Thanks
