What a shot!and When did the storm hit? While I love sierra thunderstorms with a passion, I prefer to be close to camp, not at 13, 220 ft on a cliff...especially this one, which is far from any campsite!

Re: What a shot!The weekend of this trip, I was helping my friend, Gary, schlep loads into the Humphreys Basin. He was staying for about 10 days near Packsaddle Lake, and an injury prevented him from carrying heavy loads (> 35 lbs). We didn't get any rain that day until we moved camp over to Packsaddle Lake, then it let loose!
