Above the Lokvice valley | [ Sizes: Orig | Small | Thumb ] | |||||||||||
High above the Lokvice valley on the ridge of Medjed (2287m). Behind is Bobotov Kuk (2522m), highest peak of Durmitor. Part of Zabljak route (northern approach) leads steeply from Lokvice valley up the dark side by the right edge of the photo. Once at the edge of scree below Rbatina (2401m) (peak on the right) it turns left into large Valoviti Do basin (where snow remains are). Then goes to the Velika Privija pass (2351m) left of Bobotov Kuk and finally to the summit. This section, visible on this photo, lasts 3h, while invisible part, to the right (Zabljak), lasts 2h.
