Accropolis from Teacup w/caramelized sugar
Before dropping down into Sedona's Devil's Kitchen area, while traveling east on the Teacup Trail, this is the (telephoto) view looking across the expanse toward Wilson Mountain.
Pictured are Point 6,748' and The Accropolis, both located on the west
shoulder of Wilson Mountain.
From this vantage point, you can clearly see the 'stratification' of
sandstone layers and the 'pethoria' of juniper trees in this area.
A special treat is to get a view of The Accropolis (6130') from the summit
of Wilson Mountain (7,122').
That treat will be coming (my way) in October, when the rattlesnakes have
settled down and daytime temperatures have fallen to a more comfortable level.
