Impressive!

Aconcagua's South Face looks so impressive from Vallecitos and Cordon de La Plata and de La Jaula.
This picture brings up nice memories and I just wanna go back to Argentina.

Nice shot Paulo!

Hombre...

That is one NASTY face...

Impressive shot of an impressive mountain, Paulo. This photo really gives a sense of the vastness of Cerro Aconcagua...

My friend - perhaps you can tell me about something I've often wondered: The word "Aconcagua" almost sounds like "With No Water". A (not) Con (with) Agua (water). Is Aconcagua a Spanish (or Portuguese) word? Or a local name with a different meaning?

Thanks for sharing your beautiful picture,

Big Lew

Re: Hombre...

Local name with a completely different meaning. Aconcagua is Quechua for "Stone Sentinel".
:)

And the south face, it is almost 3000m tall!
