Most unusual conditions--and to me it's more than just the lack of snow; at first glance the vegetation and light don't even come across as "Decemberish." We had that kind of winter in the Northern Rockies, as well. Strange year, indeed....

Our local Island ski hill - Mt Washington - didn't even open that year for the first time ever. And it's about 80km north of Adder.
