After the initial gully/ramp...

After the initial gully/ramp has been completed you will come to a small rock crest with a deep gully on the other (east) side. Turn left here and climb up two high Class 4 steps (harder to downclimb) then scramble loose Class 3 up and left of a small buttress that forms above. Going left of the buttress you will soon arrive at some trees at the crest of the West Ridge. Turn right on the crest and scramble atop the buttress to the final notch (the notch visible in this photo). Sept. 21, 2004.
