Very comprehensive overview

Congratulations for all the details on the various routes for this high mountain, as you pointed, quite dwarfed by the adjoining Breithorn. I noticed one very important omission: the cablecar built over several years from Zermatt and Trockener Steg to the top of Kl. Matterhorn. In fact, since 1979 (when the difficult construction was completed) it has remained the highest cablecar in the world, even higher than the Aiguille du Midi in Chamonix.

Myself I experienced the long ascent in 1966, when it was only possible to get to the Klein Matterhorn with the strength of your own legs! At the time, a snowcat pulled skiers up to the Theodulpass and thereafter, randonnees with seal-skins under your skis!

Cheers!
