| Took the Facile route from the Alpin Metro through the top of the piste. Was a pleasant walk, good weather and my first time on glaciated terrain. The downer is the unfortunate news that a fatality occured just above us on the glacier. Apparently one of the easier 4000'ers in the Alps but every mountain can be deadly. | |

| The next day after Strahlhorn we climbed with Kasia this nice ridge. As usual we had to wait on the narrow snowy ridge because of little traffic jam on rocky step II UIAA.Great weather and conditions, dry and warm rock. We descended via normal route ,took cable car to Felskin and hiked back to our ten. Descent to Saas Allmagel- the same day,or rather night ;) | ||

| Even an easy mountain can be somewhat difficult. We started on skis from Saas-Fee and summited in pretty bad weather. Only people on the summit. | |

| Climbed the Hohlaubgrat from the Britanniahut solo. Less than 4 hours to the summit. Extremely windy on the ridge and summit. Descent via the normal route. Plan was to continue to Alphubel, but the weather turned worse. | |

| Very nice route especially after doing the Strahlhorn normal route the day before (which was really just a long slog up and down the glacier). The descent to Mittel Allalin presented some unbelievable situations passing the numerous tourists (including a man with his wife who had to ask us how to rope up... he 'forgot' how to make a figure of eight knot... there was also a man with his maybe 8year old son tied together, combined with some big enough crevasses to cross... we couldn't believe our eyes). Amazing that there aren't more accidents here... | |
