I have attached your picture

to the Unidentified flora and fauna album. Hopefully you will get help there regarding the name of the flowers.

Re: I have attached your picture

It is a buckwheat, Eriogonum ovalifolium. This is a widespread species throughout the mountains of western North America. There are several local varieties within the species, but I would strongly suspect variety nivale.

Re: I have attached your picture

mrh & tarol, thank you for the identification! awagher, if your are satisfied with the information received, please detach your picture from the Unidentified flora and fauna album within the next week so that the album remain 'fresh'. Thanks.
