| Past the summit, (out onto an "arm") which is ripe with bighorn sheep (try not to step in their "beds"), there is one of the most glorius views in Glacier, capturing the whole Grinnell Glacier Trail, Grinnell Mountain, and thousands of feet of thin waterfall all in one shot. The approach goes from the Glacier over some very scored and scoured rock forms, a fine hour passed in variety of sight. | ||

| Summer 2010 ...if you already made it to the glacier! One of my first (slightly) off-trail experiences in Glacier. Climbed with KG. The sheer drop off to Grinnell Lake is vertigo inducing and quite lovely! | ||

| Climbed up to Grinnel Glacier and saw Angel Wing and couldn't pass it up. Made it up to the summit from Upper Grinnel Lake in 35 minutes (I was moving pretty fast). Awesome views of Grinnel Glacier and of Lower Grinnel Lake. Cool little summit | ||

| I hiked the Grinnell Glacier trail and convinced a friend to keep going. The humble first of hopefully many mountains in Glacier Park I will have the good fortune to climb. | ||

| Climbed several times. One of my all time favorite views in Glacier. Probably the coldest ford in the park. I would recommend a pair of solid sandals to make the going quicker. | ||

| impressive view of Grinnell Lake beneath Angel Wing's sheer north face. otherwise, the incredible bulks of Mount Gould, Mount Grinnell, and Allen Mountain obscure any other views. saw four male mountain goats and a golden eagle on the summit. | ||

| It was a cold and cloudy day. We hiked around the south shore of the two lakes because the other side was closed due to bears. Saw a mother and her two cubs directly across the outlet of Lake Josephine. Angel Wing is a nice mountain to climb with a very scenic approach hike to Grinnell Glacier. | ||

| Got an early start. We had the trail to ourselves, and paused to enjoy a tourist-free Grinnell Glacier before leaving the trail to make our way to the summit. Luckily it was overcast, and a perfect temperature, but started raining shortly after getting back on the trail. Overall a very enjoyable day in the Mountains. On that trip, I saw more kinds wildflowers and wildlife than ever before in one day. | ||
