So...If I'm reading this right, these rocks were transported here via glacier from Montana???
Geez, I wish I could do that! It's a very cheap mode of transportation, and I could spend money on something else other than gasoline. Great and awesome FIND, Dean!!!!

Re: So...Actually they were transported on ice berg like structures that were atop the flood water. You would love the Bjornstad book. Also, the flood is featured at the Dry Falls Museum north of Moses Lake / Ephrata. The ice bergs floated around when the flood waters were stalled by the Wallula Gap area set up and the rocks being carried (erratics) then fell to their present resting places. I have a better picture of this erratic that I'll exchange later on today. Thanks for your comments as always.

Re: I get it ...The rupturing of the largest ice-dammed lake
in recorded history, Lake Missoula, created
cataclysmic floods that swept across E. WA
and into the Columbia Gorge ... CREATING the
"channeled scablands" we see today.
I wonder if the same thing happened on Mars?

Re: I get it ...You did get it since that is what happened. I've added another view of this erratic. Next I'll add a shot of the 100 ton erratic boulder that was dropped a few miles from where I used to live in the tri city area. Stay tuned.
