Appalachian Trail at it\'s Highest Point
This location is the highest point at which the Appalachian Trail (AT) crosses in its entire length. This is Clingman's Dome, the highest mountain in the state of Tennessee. We did not have the best viewing day from the tower, as the clouds were surrounding us, but we did have a lot of fun climbing the mountain via the AT from Newfound Gap, 7.9 miles to the north.
