Approach to the Castle

After what should be an easy crossing of the Fremont River, follow gentle terrain here and then hike up the steep, loose red slopes to the gray terrain above. Then follow the obvious line to the base of the Castle. Expect a little bit of easy scrambling higher up. Capitol Reef National Park, UT-- October 2010
