You were lucky

with this summit. Two days later Judith had to turn back since the winds were throwing her off the crater rim. I continued but close to this spot even my heavy backpack barely held me down.

We know what you mean. This was actually our second attempt. We actually tried this one on Christmas Day and the conditions were just terrible. The rain was pouring down, the branches were falling off the trees and as soon as we got into the open areas, Kessler would be blown off his feet and onto the ground.
