I made it with a digital camera (Nikon Coolpix 4300) at its shortest focal lenght, 8 mm. (35 mm equivalent = 38 mm)

Nikon Cool Pix 4300This is the same camera I have. You did great work with your camera. Great detail and light and perspective. I didn't know my camera could take such a great picture, but I'm too lazy to take the time! I just point and shoot any more. Congratulations on your well deserved photo of the week.

Re: Nikon Cool Pix 4300I appreciate particularly your congratulations and your kind judgement, but since I have just received a 0 or 1 star vote( I evaluate), eliminating for ever the photo from the Quality ranks, it seems someone disagree...
On the other hand, the same thing happened to ALL the very worthier pics at the first places of the No limit/Number of votes rank.
Coming back to this photo, I admit that I dedicated some time to the study of the composition: the first trial was made a dozen of years ago! I'll send you a copy..

Glacial StriationsNice shot. Reminds me of the Sierras -- Junction Peak in particular.
