Rustic Grandeur  Sucess!

An amazingly varied and airy ridge walk through the heart of Red River Gorge. Not to be missed if you are in the area.

With Courthouse Rock  Sucess!

Auxier Ridge surrounded by the fall colors is fabulous. Very glad I took the time to stop there. Also very glad I did not fall off Courthouse Rock on the way up and down.

Auxier Loop  Sucess!

One of my first hikes. The scramble up Courthouse Rock at the end was my first taste of exposure. A beautiful area worthy of many visits over the years.

Auxier Ridge Trail  Sucess!

Did a 4-mile round trip on a hot afternoon in August. Nice view of the Red River Gorge. The first hike on my eastern Kentucky tour.

Via Auxier Ridge Trail with Double Arch  Sucess!

Red River Gorge is a lovely little golden nugget in eastern Kentucky. The sandstone outcrops like Auxier Ridge are especially lovely in the fall. Hiked this one with my folks.
