Erythronium grandiflorum (Avalanche Lilies)
There is a unique valley in the Indian Peaks Wilderness Area where
these glacier lilies bloom very late in July and are as thick as grass!
They appear as the snow recedes. Click on photo to see the flowers' fine setting. (July 2014)
