| DeltaOperator17 and I had a wonderful climb up the east ridge, doubly so because the weather was much better than predicted so we won the gamble on the long drive. Then we walked the ridge south to Baker Peak. Did this one again a year later on the return from Big Peak. 8/29/10 Trip report | ||

| You might as well try to climb this peak too. Four of us made it to the peak, while two of our party members hung out at the lake. A nice peak/alpine lake combo. Went up east ridge and cruised down the north ridge. | ||

| We climbed Backdrop Peak after doing a long backpacking trip in the Sawtooth Mountains. It is located above Baker Lake so you have to climb it if you go there. There was a wildfire burning in the White Cloud Mountains so the air was a little smoky. | ||

| If you are looking for a relatively short day, this hike is great. Though it becomes a little frustrating towards the top when the actual summit keeps teasin ya. | ||

| Neat little scramble from Baker Lake. The summit is actually a lot further west than it looks from the lake. | ||
