Climbed this mountain with our Rayado crew. We slept at the Copper Park Parking Lot. Which is the small clearing labeled at 11,574 ft. We left camp at 3:30 in the morning and took the incredible summit ridge up to the top. Being on that exposed ridge guided by your headlamp and the moon was absolutely incredible. Once we got to the top it was probably 40 degrees, and we sat there for about an hour in our sleeping bags waiting for the sun to peak its head out. It is an experience I will never forget!

Untitled CommentGreat page! You might want to add that this is the highpoint of the Cimarron Mountains, and it's also the 21st most prominent peak in New Mexico.
