Bass Peak | [ Sizes: Orig | Large | Med | Small | Thumb ] |
A close-up view of Bass Peak from Lantern Ridge. The valley below is the South Fork Lolo Creek drainage, which reveals how densly forested the valleys are in the Selway-Bitterroot Wilderness. October, 2005.

Hasn't voted | Thanks, it was a good fall vista with the fresh snow higher up but not in the valley.

Voted 10/10 | I love this shot and feel like if I lean forward, I could fall off into the canyon. | | Posted Apr 1, 2006 7:18 am |

Hasn't voted | Thanks, it was the first weekend of October and I took a little hike into the mountains hoping to see some subalpine larches changing color that would contrast with the fresh snow. It was one of those windy fall days with intermetient snowstorms on the higher peaks mixed with sunshine. I came up over a ridge, and suddenly this came into view. | | Posted Apr 2, 2006 8:01 pm |
