Great, Ray ...I just was surfing around, and came
across this in your gallery. My wife
was born in the Philippines, and recalls
a few of her own ancestors being killed
or taken prisoner in this historic battle.
I didn't know anything about this
reinactment, however. Are there places
to stop for water/refreshments along the
way??? I suppose there would be. Are
there objects that actually "fall out of
the sky" within some areas of the White
Sands Missile Range? Don't get me wrong!
That's truly an amazing area of the
New Mexico desert, and I'm looking
forward to returning there someday. What
are the gas prices like it southern NM
now? In AZ, gas prices will soon reach
$4.00/gallon. What this has to do with
the 'Bataan Death March,' your guess is
probably better than mine. Nice photo!

Re: Great, Ray ...Hi Larry, thanks for your comments. Yes, there are water/food points along the route. Nothing falling out of the sky unless there's a test launch happening at the same time. They try not to do this :) Gas here is 3.29/gal....would not surprise me if it hits 4.00 come summer. And it has a lot to do with the march if you're planning on driving out here from AZ for it next year. Come on Larry, it's only the next state over!

Re: Yes, Ray ...I OWE it to myself AND (Filipina) wife to
participate in this remarkable and historic
event. Suppose there will be many signs
(directing folks)?
For some reason, I can't help but to think
of that 'Creedance Clearwater Revival' song
of the late 1960s: "It Came Out of The Sky!"
Thanks for putting a bug in my ear as far
as the information goes. (Have a nice day,
Ray!) - Larry

Re: Yes, Ray ...Larry, you're killin' me :) They've got signs and more....and if you can't follow the signs, just follow everyone else! As far as stuff falling from the sky, hey, you never know, but think of it this way -- should something fall, what's the chance of it landing on you and not one of the other 4,000+ participants?? But if you plan on heading out this way, give me a holler. Take it easy,
Ray
