Bears Do It

Sorry about the low resolution, but I didn't think that I wanted to get any closer. These are both black bears. The mixed coloration is a nice illustration of the fact that black bears may be brown ("cinnamon phase" as they say in the biz).

Perhaps more surprising is that the following year I saw a pair of black bears about a quarter mile from this spot. They look to me like the same pair.
