| Started up the Silverado Trail and hiked to Pleasants Peak, then back along the Main Divide Road (getting a ride for part of the way) to Bald Peak and Bedford Peak. Great views along the road for much of the way. | |

| I took the Silverado trail. This is a great hike for a cloudy day that threatens rain, because of the lack of shade. It's also nice that it's short and I could knock it out in 3.5 hours. Great way to start my legs up again after the holidays. | |

| Quick hike from Silverado Canyon road. Good training hike if you want to stay in OC for a change. Seeing all the traffic on the mountain roads, I'm glad I stayed local! | |

| Cold day....51F at the trailhead at 2:30pm. Started hiking at 2:45pm and passed the summit of Bedford Peak at ~ 3:50pm. Continued on FR 3S04 to about halfway between Bedford and Bald Peak. Back at the car by 5:10pm ( ~ 2.5 hrs). Then drove to Fullerton's Old Spaghetti Factory to give my Norway ice climbing slideshow to the CMC. | |
