The south ridge is a pretty fun scramble. Quick trip if you can drive to the end of the east fork road. As sawtooth Sean notes, no summit register right now. Very good views of wildhorse and the major pioneer peaks
East Fork up to the correct notch to get on the south ridge. Followed the exposed ridge to the summit. East walk off SW ridge and onto McINtyre. Cloudy 65F. NO summit register.
Really fun climb and great warm-up for the Tetons. We downclimbed the same route. The crest of the ridge is better rock, the gullies to the west are less exposed. Trip report
Backpacked into the basin for a few days. Climbed the ridge to point between Old Hyndman and Big Basin then followed the ridge to the summit. Nice stormy day but had a great climb. There are lot's of interesting routes to be discovered in this area.
