Bighorn Sheep

The trail to Snow Moon Basin is regularly used by humans and animals alike; in fact, on the three times I have taken this route, I have encountered big horn sheep every single time! Note the tan ridge of rock behind the sheep that climbs from Many Glacier Hotel; this ridge, comprised of Altyn limestone, is followed uphill and to the south from the parking lot en route to the great scree fields beneath the north face of Allen Mountain.
