Hike to Black Mountain in the Santa Cruz Mountains

Took advantage of the long summer day and did the 10 mile round trip hike to 2,800' Black Mountain after a work day in Los Altos. It was really clear with great views of the Diablo Range across the South Bay and the marine fog layer was hugging and pouring over the ridges up and down the coast.
It had just turned dark when I rolled up to the house following the 60 mile drive up the SF Peninsula, through the city and across the Golden Gate right after 9pm. Needless to say I was pretty bushed.
