Winter summit
Winter ascent on alpine touring skis. Had to hike the last couple hundred feet over the rocky section. Skied back down the summer hiking trail. Started from the Sibley nordic trails before linking into the regular summer route.

4th of July Night Hike
Hiked it at night on the 4th of July with my girls. Awesome views of the full moon.

First summit for my girls!
First summit for my girls. Working on 100 summits over 9,000ft and this was #81. Really great to have my kids with me. Wonderful views from up top!
Nice short hike with a great view. The out house near the summit came in handy for my 9 year old. W summitted on his birthday. All siz in out family made it.

A great hike, winter or summer. Snowshoed up to treeline then hiked in Dec. 2002 under a full moon on a search and rescue call from a radio tech waiting for us in the outhouse who lost the trail in the dark. One of the most beautiful nights I've ever had in the mountains.
Last summer did a few trail runs from Black Mountain road to the summit to training for an off road triathlon. Great training!

Great little hike. Climbed this along with Steamboat point on an off day in the bighorns(The other 2 days we did 18 and 15 mile hikes). Fantastic views, especially to the eastern plains of Wyoming!
Drove a 4wd to trailhead. I f you don`t have a 4wd you will have to park at main road ang go from there. Sign at trailhead said 1 mile to summit but my guess its more like 1 1/2. Climbed it with my wife. Took our time and took about an hour. Nice little hike. Great view from top.
