Boot skiing (glissading) (Dennis is in the center of this pic) down 1100 feet from the No. Gardner ridgeline. The finest boot glissade on scree I've ever had. Not as great as a snow glissade of course, but still fun.
The band of goats shown in my previous pic was in the green area below the scree area.

Hasn't voted | Thanks Bob, it was the highlight of the actual hiking aspect. The first 600 feet just went zip. Towards the bottom you couldn't plunge step but it still was easier than what was to come (all that downed timber)
