Border Crossing at Ross Lake

Border Crossing at Ross Lake

There's something kind of humorous about this... This is the International Border and the gate isn't very robust. And the chain and padlock were small, unlike your garden logger varieties. But it's not as if you've got anywhere to go. The road ends less than two miles into the States. In early season the gate may be closed. It is usually open by Memorial Day weekend, at which time you can access all those lovely overrun summer campgrounds. Yes, on any given summer day you will no doubt find more Canadians in this corner of the United States than Americans. May 10, 2007.
