Thunder & lightning
Climbed this mountain on the way from Triglav. Ascend from Lukjna pass. Met quite a number of ibex that did not seem to care too much about my presence. Nice! The sharp bends on loose terrain and grassy slopes should be treated with care, especially when wet. Got into a thunderstorm right on the summit. Not so nice! Had to ascend on wet rocks and with a view close to zero. Slowly through the storm with lightning flashing to the left and to the right. Interesting experience, but please not too often! Reached the hut soaked but happy.

Magnificent Peak!
Peak with some stunning views on Triglav and opposite side, toward Razor.
we started from Aljazev hut in Vrata valley, over Luknja pass to the summit and down to Pogacnik Hut.
Amazing day, with great views, with fantastic photo session with top class model, ibex.
Somebody said this is their kingdom, and definitely it is.

Bad weather - dry conditions a must
Set out for a solo climb of Stenar thinking I'd pick up BG on the way. Started from Vrata... from the beech forests to Luknja was all morning fog. Once at Luknja was above fog and had a nice view of the Triglav wall rising above the fog. Headed off for Bovski Gamsovec and the rocks were getting wet and slippery. Made it thru a couple ferretas to the marked trail to Vrh. Fog (slippery) and visibility really bad here so didn't summit. Went a bit further to some tricky areas and turned back because of weather. On way back got up close with two bull ibex in the fog and saw a chamois zoom by thru the clouds. A little secondary summit overlooking Vrata (with a white rock on it) caught my eye between low clouds blowing thru... so I went off trail and summited it. No Bovski Gamsovec but fun to see the ibex and chamois.

From Luknja
Iclimbed Bovski Gamsovec from Luknja with my cousin Irena. It is the land of ibex, i find it uncanny how they seem to know they are protected species.Chamois is afraid by definition, and ibex just does not like you, so I think.
Next time I climbed it coming from Pogacnik Hut, some nice views and wonderfull flowers.Coming down to Luknja, you can really study the North Triglav Wall.
