Re: ???

We hiked through the Anniversary Narrows. Once past the narrows you will see a prominent saddle on your right, which would be your next objective. From the saddle it's a short hike to the peak.

Re: ???

I'll give that a shot. I've only just strted coming in over the top of Bowl of Fire. Don't we live in the greatest place?

Re: ???

We sure do! Have fun. The weather is perfect in Lake Mead right now.

Yes...

It is a great view! I plan to do this the
next time I visit southern Nevada. I
was looking for Anniversary Narrows Peak
on the topo map. Is it Peak 1032m or
Peak 1078m? Either one would probably
give a good view of the Bowl of Fire.

Re: Yes...

It's neither. Anniversary Narrows Peak is 3,074 feet, which in meters is about 936. I'm sure the other two have a great view as well, but I haven't done them yet.

Re: Yes...

Thank you, Anya! One last comment ...
did you happen to notice this particular
rock formation, the last time you hiked
or climbed in that area?? Click HERE.

Re: Yes...

Oh gosh, I'm relieved. Good info Larry. I thought you sent me a link to a mine photo. I'm not a big fan of them.
Cheers!

Re: Nope...

I wouldn't do that to you. BTW, have you ever
seen water flowing inside Anniversary Narrows?
I suppose water would be a good agent for
creating future caves in that area. THANKS!

Re: Nope...

Yes, there were some major flash floods in Lake Mead Area a couple of years back (autumn 2005 or 2006, I can't remember exactly) and when we went to the Narrows afterwards there were several big paddles of water still in there.
