Hiking up Broadhead involved going through boulder fields, deadfall and swampy areas. The summit, 10,541 feet, is on a long ridgeline and was rather flat. The ridge has a great view of the Western Uintas. Mosquitoes were out but not quite in full force yet.
Skied 20 miles to get here on a beautiful day. 5 hours to the top and 8 hours RT. From the Soapstone Basin Parking area via forest roads 037, 414, and 415. I had no idea this page was here until I was investigating Grandaddy Mountain and happened to notice it.
