Just a teenager back then - talking about being blown away.
Some like Zion, others like Arches & Capitol Reef. I like them
all!!! Guess that's being greedy.

I know it was the summer of 1993 when I was there, but I don't remember the date, so don't trust the date above.

After years of saying I was gonna go, I finally made it. A charming park - quite pretty...but nothing close to nearby Zion.

Hiked nearly every trail in this park. We had good luck and it snowed while we were there giving us some awesome pictures to take home!

Did the peak-a-boo trail. Very unlike anything I've ever seen and definitely worth a day stop.

Hiked a bit of the Under the Rim trail, then did the Fairyland Loop and the Bristlecone Pine Loop the next. Very unusual and interesting topography.

Tracy21-mile hike from south to north  Sucess!
Date Climbed: Jul 7, 2001

We started this hike from where the national park boundary intersects Podunk Creek Road just west of Rainbow Point. There is a 1.5-mile long NPS service road (shown on the 7.5 minute USGS map but not shown on most other maps) that connects Podunk Creek Road to the main Bryce Canyon Road. This service road is gated at both ends and intersects the main Bryce Canyon Road approx. 1.25 miles south of the Ponderosa Canyon Parking/Trailhead. We hiked the service road, then hiked the 1.25 miles along the paved scenic drive to the Trailhead. From there we hiked the 1.6-mile long Aqua Canyon Connecting Trail to the Under-the-Rim Trail. From there it was only 16.62 miles along the Under-the-Rim Trail to Bryce Point. Makes for a long day hike but you really get to see alot of the Park. I did this hike with my son Lance, Bristol Ellington, Randy Lamb, Jeff & Tyson Stokes, Curtis, Troy & Austin Steadman, Skyler Sudweeks, David Mounteer, Ben Anderson, Jared Kuntz, Josh Sillitoe, Michael Cureton, Seth Twitchell, and Craig Gimbel.

Multiple loop trails. It doesnt really matter which one you go on they are all amazing. Queens Garden and Fairyland were really nice, awe.

This was my introduction as a kid to the basic rule of going down canyons: save some gas for the way back up. Good memories!

Been here four times. An absolutely amazing place to visit. Truly one of Gods wonders. Hiked 'Queens' a couple o' times, Fairyland loop 3 times (yeah, alot of miles-my fav.), pretty much all the short paved scenic trails roadside and ventured down into the ampitheater a short ways. Saw a flock of wild turkeys my second time here.
